I’ve been doing inspections full time for over 25 years and have been involved in the construction industry in some way, shape or form my entire career. I love structures, whether it be a home, commercial building or pool and I love being able to share my knowledge with clients to help make the buying process a little less stressful.
Early in my career, when I operated my own construction firm, a real estate agent told me that I’d make a great inspector. Not much later, I began working at a local inspection franchise, and overtime, became the supervisor responsible for training new inspectors. I did this for just about five years. It was a great experience but over time, I started to want a company that more fully matched my business values and passion for inspections.
Launching my Business
In 1997, I launched my own inspection company, Allstate Home Inspections, Inc. Over the years my inspection services grew well beyond just home inspections, adding more and more commercial work and in 2008 adding pool inspections. Eventually the company began trading as AHI, Inc. - Consulting.
I love sharing my knowledge with clients, whether its new home buyers, commercial clients or new pool owners. Providing the information to help them feel confident in their ability to make a wise decision. I also enjoy the investigative/problem-solving component of inspections—discovering an unusual issue, recognizing defects, then putting together the clues to find an explanation.
My clients appreciate my approachability, commitment to impartiality, and clear communication, both on-site and in the report.
I have served as a board member of the Tri-State Chapter of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), and served as chapter president for the 2015 & 2016 member years. I’m fully licensed and insured in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and City of Philadelphia for Inspections, as well as, Termite Inspections. I’m also a NSPF Certified Pool Inspector/Certified Pool Operator.
I live in Horsham, PA with my wife of 30+ years and our two bull terriers, Jack and JoJo. We have a 27-year-old daughter and a 19-year-old son. I’ve been coaching ice hockey for 25 years. I love classic cars, boats, and spending every weekend I can (when not working!) on the Chesapeake Bay.
